Today's Harvest is currently owned and operated by Tom and Lisa Jordan of New Paris, Ohio, with help from the (now grown up) kids, Tim, Becky and Elizabeth.
Our business began with Harold Jordan, selling his freshly picked sweet corn, roadside in the 1970's.
Over the years, Tom and Lisa added freshly picked vegetables to Harold's freshly picked sweet corn. Operations grew much larger than one truck and multiple wagons could contain, and after years of selling produce outside on a wagon, we finally built a building in 2006.
To a passerby the building might appear as a simple barn, but if you step inside we operate a full service flower shop, freshly made donuts, gift items, seasonal decor and some of Ohio's best seasonally fresh fruits and vegetables! Together we grow all of the fruits and vegetables, raise our own pumpkins and mums, and operate a huge corn maze each fall! During the Christmas season we offer a nice selection of Christmas Trees, wreaths, and holiday décor.
Our family isn't complete without talking about William! Mr. William Jordan is the youngest child of Tom and Lisa. He was born April 28, 2000, with a rare chromosomal disorder. At the time of his birth there were less than 100 people in the world like him. Our family was truly blessed with the most unique and wonderful individual. If you were lucky enough to meet William, you completely understand. William did not speak or walk; he did have a way though, of bringing you into his world, through his eyes, making you feel so much love and acceptance. You would often see him around the store or riding on a tractor making sure that the work is getting done! William's life was filled with family, work, and a lot of love. Sadly, we lost William December 26, 2021. He is the inspiration behind our annual donation to Children's Hospital in Dayton Ohio every year! We will continue to support in remembrance of William.
