Farm Fresh Southern Peaches
Full of flavor and run down your chin juicy - you won't be disappointed! These peaches are perfect for a summer snack, crisp, pie, cobbler.
Please note, early season peaches (June & July) tend to not be freestone. Later season peaches are typically freestone peaches and allow the inner core to peel away from the peach easily.
Elizabeth's Peach Crisp:
6-8 Fresh Peaches
1 Stick of butter
1 Cup Quick Oats
1/3 Cup Brown Sugar
3/4 Cup Flour
Cinnamon & Sugar to sprinkle across the peaches
Preheat oven to 375 degrees and grease a 9X13 baking pan.
Slice and peel the peaches into greased baking pan. Sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top of peaches, measuring with your heart!
In a medium bowl microwavable bowl, melt butter. Mix in oats, brown sugar and flour. Mix together with fingers until butter has combined with ingredients.
Sprinkle across top of the peaches. cover the dish and cook for 30 minutes.
Uncover and cook until top is a nice crispy consistency.
Remove from oven and let cool or serve warm with some Cinnamon Bun Ice Cream from Today's Harvest
